Hi T-Belles! When getting ready quickly, I instantly default to my go-to every day makeup look. I recently noticed that I was running low in a lot of my products. So, naturally I asked myself: “How much does this all cost, anyway?” Well, let’s find out together!
Benefit’s Ka-BROW! Cream-Gel Eyebrow Color with Brush – $24.00 (my shade is 05 – deep). Though, I’m still fairly new to the eyebrow game I absolutely love how smoothly this eyebrow gel applies and how natural it looks. Some may say it’s pricey, but it’s definitely worth it compared to other eyebrow products I’ve tried in the past.
IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara – $24.00 (color: jet black). I think many could agree one of the biggest struggles is finding the perfect mascara(s) to use. In the past I would always use multiple mascaras to achieve both the length and volume I desired along with intensity. However, as soon as I got my hands on a sample of this mascara in my ipsy bag about a year ago, this has been my one and only go-to mascara. On top of that, this mascara makes it super easy to achieve the boldness you want with a limited amount of swipes!
Makeup Revolution’s Flawless Eyeshadow Palettes – $15.00 each (palettes: 3 & 32). I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not the best at eyeshadow. However, I don’t think any makeup look is complete without at least a soft eyeshadow. When wanting to have official eyeshadow palettes, I went towards the best quality I could get for the cheapest price. Fortunately, I ended up not being disappointed at all. I found this product to be comparable to the more expensive eyeshadow palettes from ‘Too Faced’ and ‘Urban Decay’. I will 100% recommend any palette from ‘Makeup Revolution’ as not only do they have great quality with a great variety of different palettes, but they are also perfect for those who like me are still experimenting with eyeshadows or just don’t take it as serious as others.
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna’s Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation – $34.00 (shade: 420). A quick disclaimer: I did not jump on the Fenty bandwagon just because of Rihanna (not to undermine the respect and appreciation I have for her creatively). In fact, I was so against even looking at Fenty for months when Rihanna’s line first dropped. I already was such a fan of my prior foundation that you guys will all see in my summertime makeup routine coming soon. However, winter arose meaning my skin lightened and the foundation I was using was just too dark for the season so I figured that was the perfect time to switch it up. My makeup technician not only recommended but tried a sample of the Fenty foundation on my skin. Needless to say, I fell in love, but not right away. As I was transitioning into using this product, I struggled with determining how to use it the best way. Once I got into the groove of how to use this foundation, I wanted to put on a face of makeup all the time just to use it. I definitely recommend this smooth, long lasting and thin foundation.
NYX Professional Makeup’s Gotcha Covered Concealer – $2.99; (shades: Fresh Beige & Sand). I absolutely love NYX’s concealers especially for my medium skin type and my odd obsession with matte foundations, though I’m always going after a creamy/dewy look. I’ve tried many other concealers and just have not found one I like better than NYX as it’s smooth, creamy, long-lasting and super easy to apply. I definitely prefer the “Gotcha Covered Concealer,” compared to all of the rest of them.
NYX Professional Makeup’s Hi Definition Photo Concealer Wand – $4.99; (shades: Fresh Beige & Sand). This concealer is a lot creamier in my opinion. One of the things I don’t like about the concealer wand is how little product comes in the actual tube, whereas the “Gotcha Covered” concealers last me months. This is the perfect concealer for someone who likes more of a natural makeup look that still photographs nicely.
Maybelline’s Fit Me Concealer – $6.99 (shade: Sand). I absolutely love this concealer as a security concealer. I feel like this concealer mixed with my favorite “Gotcha Covered” concealer creates the best semi-natural glow. I’d definitely choose this over the NYX wand concealer, any day. If you like medium coverage, this is the perfect concealer for you.
Maybelline’s Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder – $7.99 (shade: Light Medium). I’ve always had such terrible luck with finding a good setting powder. After watching Madi Bernard’s ‘Kylie Jenner inspired’ makeup video, I went out to get this product. This powder completes the highlight created with the concealer, making your face seem to be airbrushed. There’s no flashback at all and I love the security it provides my creamy concealer(s).
Tarte’s Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer – $30.00 (shade: Park Ave Princess). This is my all time favorite product. Tarte has been one of my favorite brands for a while. This bronzer is something else. I’ve tried ‘Anastasia’s’ and ‘Too Faced’ bronzers before and yes they are great, but do not compare to Tarte’s. This bronzer applies so smoothly and naturally making your skin look fresh and airbrushed. This is one of those products that looks even better, the longer you have it on. Definitely a game-changer.
When it comes to my lips, it’s always hard for me to want to do anything other than my nude (-ish) ombre. With my lips, I am super picky about the products I use as the last thing any wants is to have their makeup look destroyed by a bad quality lip product. These are my current absolute favorite lip products. Keep in mind, these dry in matte.
NYX Professional Makeup’s Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick – $4.89 (in colors: Satin Ribbon, Ruffle Trim and Teddy).
NYX Professional Makeup’s Soft Matte Lip Cream – $4.54 (color: Budapest).
Now, what you all have so patiently been waiting for; the cost of my everyday makeup … $196.65! To be honest, I was expecting a number very close to this so I’m not surprised at all. For all of you who hung in there with me, you are seriously a trooper. Some of you may think I’m crazy, I know. What can I say, I just love a full coverage face!
I’d love to see you guys do this on your own either as a post (tag me!) or in the comments below to see how much we differ in our “makeup allowance”.
