Makeup Find: Lancôme Defencils

Happy Monday T-Belles! I hope we all remember to start the week off with some form of positivity and radiance! This morning while getting ready, I realized that I’ve been holding back on a new mascara I’ve recently tried and have been absolutely loving: Lancôme Defencils. I don’t believe any look is complete without a full dramatic eye. Like most of us though, I want to be able to achieve this in a quicker manner. Finding the right mascara is like finding a comfortable pair of heels … you have to search.

In my search for the perfect mascara, I was super impressed with Superhero by IT . I’ve used this mascara for about two years now. Superhero gave me the bold difference in color and length that I wanted, however, over time I realized it didn’t give me the volume and fullness I wanted.

Lancôme Definicils makes it so easy to apply mascara and is so light that you truly don’t even feel like you’re wearing mascara until you feel your lashes dramatically hit your eyebrow bone. With mascara, I always want a natural glam, something that says “we’ve arrived but we didn’t put too much effort into it”.

Because a lot of you may not like the brand Lancôme due to some of their preferences, a very similar mascara is the BADgal BANG! by Benefit, a very smooth, dramatic eye for $24.

*Tip of the day: when purchasing high end products that you want to try but don’t want to waste your money while experimenting, buy the travel/trial sizes. You can easily find the travel or trial sizes near the checkout counter at Ulta or Sephora. You can also sign up for subscriptions that allow you to try new makeup products for a fraction of the price through services like Ipsy and Boxycharm.

Regardless of income, I thoroughly encourage all of you makeup lovers and venturers to reward yourself after a hard week and a great paycheck by trying either of these three products.

I’ll catch you later T-Belles, have a great week!! 🙂

What is a great drug store mascara you’ve tried?
